What we check during each visit

Each visit follows a structured checklist tailored to your home, focused on visual checks, documenting findings, and reporting anything that needs attention. The items below are examples of what may be included based on your plan.

Exterior checks

  • Check doors, windows, and visible entry points.
  • Check for signs of forced entry, vandalism, or unauthorized activity.
  • Bring in mail, packages, and flyers.
  • Check yard and exterior conditions, including obvious damage or standing water.
  • Check outdoor lighting and visible exterior systems as requested.
  • Check designated systems or areas unique to the home as requested.

Interior checks

  • Check rooms, ceilings, and floors for leaks or damage.
  • Check HVAC system status and general conditions.
  • Check plumbing fixtures for visible leaks, drips, or standing water.
  • Check designated appliances and electrical systems as requested.
  • Check doors and windows from inside for security and weather intrusion.
  • Water designated plants as requested.
  • Check designated sump pumps and leak detection systems for obvious concerns.

Concierge Services

Beyond our regular home watch visits, Steward offers additional services to help care for your home and simplify the details while you’re away.

  • Coordinate access and visits for trusted vendors and service providers.
  • Prepare your home for a comfortable return.
  • Help prepare your home before you leave.
  • Stock groceries and household essentials before your return.
